This August our team enjoyed a day trip to Romsey in Hampshire where they explored Chalk Stream Foods trout farm.

Chalk Stream Foods is our trout supplier and they source, prepare and deliver the finest, freshest rainbow trout from farms on the Rivers Itchen and Test directly to restaurants across the UK.

Our team had an enjoyable and informative walk around the farm where they were shown different stages in the life of the fish from when they are very small to when they reach 3 kilos and are ready to be sold. It was also very interesting to discover that trout at Chalk Stream Foods are pure vegans; they are only being fed soya.

After a pleasant walk at the farm, our team was treated to a delicious lunch made from the freshest trout.

It was a very educational trip which our team greatly enjoyed. They are now very knowledgeable about one of the new ingredients on our menu.
