The British Conveyancing Awards 2022 took place in the very heart of Westminster as it brought the conveyancing industry together in a celebration of excellence. The sold-out event saw 300 guests attending in-person and over 500 virtual participants watching the live stream.

The awards were hosted by multi-award-winning journalist and broadcaster; Samira Ahmed.

This year the awards partnered with The Conveyancing Foundation to promote the “Be Kind We Care” initiative, championing the mental health and well-being of conveyancers. The charity raffle raised £4718.75 for its partner charities LawCare, Agents Together, and the Mindstep Foundation.

Tapping into the spirit of collaboration and togetherness fostered over the past two years through the pandemic this year saw two new industry-nominated awards introduced. Conveyancing Firm of the Year – National, sponsored by Groundsure and the Today’s Conveyancer Industry Champion, sponsored by Move Reports.

Sarah Ross, Senior Event Coordinator at Church House Westminster commented: “It was fascinating to organise the British Conveyancing Awards 2022. Going from an all-virtual 2021 awards, the event this year gave us the opportunity to be creative in our approach. Subsequently, the format for the awards was adapted to give attendees the best experience. The organiser chose to begin the late afternoon’s proceedings with the awards ceremony in the Assembly Hall, followed by a drinks reception in the Hoare Memorial Hall, before returning to the main hall for a seated dinner. A post-dinner celebration was hosted in the Hoare Memorial Hall with a live band. Our venue team was paramount in achieving a quick turnaround in the Assembly Hall from the awards ceremony to the seated dinner.
