Church House Awarded Silver Eco Church Award
Being a sustainable and eco-friendly event space matters to us, here at Church House.
We’ve previously shared some of our leaps forward, with spray cork insulation at our venue and the fantastic waterless urinals we invested in.
Now, we’re beyond thrilled to tell you that we’ve just been recognised for all our hard work – with a Silver Eco Church Award.
The Eco Church Awards: Innovation and Sustainability
These progressive awards are for church-based organisations based in England and Wales (there’s a separate scheme for churches in Scotland and Ireland).
The idea is to reach the required standards that apply to your building in each of the areas that are covered by the Eco Survey.
Key areas considered by the survey include:
- Management of buildings
- Management of land
- Community and global engagement
- Lifestyle
Due to our team’s sustained efforts to implement eco-friendly initiatives in our building, operations and more; we were able to progress from a Bronze Eco Church Award in 2023 – to Silver in 2024 – an achievement we are very proud of!
We are delighted to have been given this accolade as a testament to our vision and dedication in making Church House not only a space where our clients and the community can host a variety of worthwhile events – but one that is protecting the wellbeing of our planet too.
