Church House Westminster hosts the Art Business conference

On Tuesday 4th September 2018 The Art Business Conference returned once again to Church House Westminster for its fifth London edition. The one-day conference for art market professionals comprised a full day of informative plenary sessions, Q&As and lively panel discussions.

A leading platform for the discussion of key issues in today’s global art market, The Art Business Conference brought together industry experts from all facets of the art world, providing a 360-degree perspective on major developments within the trade. The sessions covered a wide range of topics and offered knowledge and insight for those running an art business or collection.

The conference started with an opening address from the Chair, Georgina Adam, followed by Michael Ellis, Minister for Arts, Heritage and Tourism. Other key speakers included: Melanie Gerlis from the Financial Times, Charles Saumarez Smith from the Royal Academy and Jessica Litwin from The National Portrait Gallery.

Robin Parker, General Manager at Church House Westminster commented: “It is always a pleasure to welcome back The Art Business Conference. They once again return at the beginning of September and are one of our first big events of the Autumn season, following several weeks of summer maintenance. The event is always well attended, and it is great to once again see such an interesting line-up of speakers for this year’s conference.”
