To coincide with London Climate Action Week, we take a look at cleaner air walking routes to Church House Westminster.

This quaint station is near beautiful St. James’s Park, giving you a wonderful reason to discover one of London’s green parks before or after your event. Instead of opting for Tothill Street, head down Broadway, then into Dacre Street, before crossing Victoria Street and walking up Abby Orchard Street. Walking time is 6 minutes and pollution is 11.7% lower than the other route.

  • Westminster Station to Church House Westminster

Home to the Jubilee, Circle, and District lines. Once out of the station, head towards Broad Sanctuary, before crossing Victoria Street and walking up Great Smith Street. Journey time is 8 minutes and pollution is 16.2% lower than the other route.

  • Charing Cross Station to Church House Westminster

You could follow the same cleaner air walking route if you are also disembarking at Embankment Station as these two Stations are near each other. Head for The Mall, then into Horse Guards Road (enjoy the beautiful views of St. James’s Park), crossing Birdcage Walk, into Storey’s Gate, crossing Victoria Street, and walking up Great Smith Street. Journey time is 16 minutes and pollution is 15.04% lower than the other route.

  • Waterloo Station to Church House Westminster

A scenic walk across the iconic River Thames. Personally, we’d head to the London Eye and walk along Belvedere Road, cross Westminster Bridge, then around Parliament Square, into Broad Sanctuary, walking Great Smith Street. Journey time is 23 minutes and pollution is 19.9% lower than the other route.

  • Bond Street Station to Church House Westminster

Now you may ask why we included this Station and we’ll say that the arrival of the new Elizabeth Line makes this an essential journey. Head down New Bond Street, turning into Albemarle Street, crossing Piccadilly, into St.James’s Street, into Marlborough Road, crossing The Mall, into St. James’s Park, crossing Birdcage Walk, into Queen Anne’s Gate, then Broadway, Tothill Street and walking up Great Smith Street. Journey time is 32 minutes and pollution is 10.3% lower than the other route.
