Church House Westminster has been shortlisted for the 2022 Digital Event Awards in the category: Best venue offering digital/hybrid event facilities.

The Digital Event Awards recognise excellence in the production and delivery of digital events

The first Digital Event Awards ceremony took place in 2021 to celebrate the size and scale of developments that event organisers have adopted during the pandemic. The Awards recognised organisers of the events, with categories covering different types of digital event experiences including awards ceremonies, webinars, training programmes, conferences, exhibitions, festivals, and charity events, along with skill-based categories and a selection for the suppliers behind the technology.

2022 sees the Digital Event Awards return with an in-person element to bring an exciting and interactive event highlighting the best of digital events and professionals. The hybrid awards ceremony will take place on the evening of 31 March.

This category in which Church House Westminster is shortlisted is open to venues that have created digital or hybrid event solutions. Judges’ criteria include the diversity of event types, technology invested, design of stage and set, flexibility of packages, and testimonial response form organisers.

Martin Fullard, Editorial Director of Digital Event News said that the awards are relevant because there is still some scepticism out there in the event-buying community who aren’t fully sold on the value virtual events, or who think hybrid events are too expensive. There is such a variety of possibility, it’s our job as an industry to showcase as many mediums as possible.

Bradley Hill, Head of Production at Church House Westminster comments: “The industry was thrown a curveball early 2020 and I am proud to say that our on-site digital event production and technician team rose to the challenge to ensure that innovative event experiences can shift to virtual and – in an uncertain world -also offer flexible hybrid contingencies for event organisers and their attendees. The responsibility lies with us to make these options accessible and affordable for organisers as expectations of in-person and online audiences continue to evolve.”.
