Feel The Yarn London Tradeshow

On 23 and 24 February 2022, Feel The Yarn hosted their SS23 Italian yarn collection tradeshow at Church House Westminster in London.

Feel The Yarn is the registered trademark of Consorzio Promozione Filati (CPF), a body aggregating some of the most appreciated Italian yarn manufacturers. Feel The Yarn’s mission regards not only promotes the visible quality of the Italian yarns but also their technical and more profitable qualities. They are committed to organizing events, workshops, and learning experiences to show how the raw material is transformed and what are the most important parts of the work of the yarn spinners.

The main exhibition took place in the Westminster venue’s largest event space, the Assembly Hall featuring an impressive list of Italian exhibitors: ACCADEMIA – INDUSTRIA ITALIANA FILATI, ALPES MANIFATTURA FILATI, CASA DEL FILATO, C.T.F., DI.VE’, E. MIROGLIO, FILARTEX, FILATI BIAGIOLI MODESTO, FILATURA DI POLLONE, FILATURA PAPI FABIO, FILITALY-LAB, FILMAR, FILPUCCI, MOMA CONCEPT (knitwear), GI.TI.BI. FILATI, IAFIL – INDUSTRIA AMBROSIANA FILATI, LANIFICIO DELL’OLIVO, ILARIA MANIFATTURA LANE, MISTER JOE, MONTICOLOR, PECCI FILATI, PINORI FILATI, SERVIZI E SETA, SUEDWOLLE GROUP ITALIA, THE ROYAL CO., TOLLEGNO 1900 – DIVISIONE FILATI, BLUPURO MAGLIERIE (knitwear).

The Bishop Partridge Hall hosted a smaller exhibition space and all-day catering including refreshments and drinks.

The tradeshow for the Spring / Summer 23 yarn collections saw significant numbers for both exhibitors and visitors, raising expectations for the future program dedicated to Fall / Winter 23/24. This year the London tradeshow formed part of a series of main European and American capitals of business and fashion including Stockholm, Copenhagen, Paris, New York, and London.

Lorenzo Incagli, responsible for coordinating the activities in Italy and abroad of Feel the Yarn, comments: “Tradeshows are important in establishing new relationships and launching collaborations, shortening the distance between producers and buyers, and expansion of our network. The positive results of the tradeshow have been achieved by hosting the exhibition in a relaxed environment, supported by the convenient location and elegant surroundings of Church House Westminster. Moments of conviviality during breakfast breaks, lunches, or an aperitif at the end of the day make important exchanges possible. Safety was managed in an efficient way following the latest Covid guidance and the tradeshow was not impacted by any limitations.”.

Federico Gualtieri, President of the Yarn Promotion Consortium (CPF) comments: “The success of this edition has gone far beyond our expectations, not only for the number of subscriptions from companies in the sector, to which some knitwear factories have also added, but above all for visitors. In fact, all the main fashion brands belonging to the markets of the countries chosen for the presentations sat at the tables to view the collections. A result of sure value, which allowed exhibitors not only to implement the strategies of internationalization and marketing of their products but also to open the way to new partnerships and collaborations to be developed already in the short and medium-term.”.
