This Christmas season Church House Westminster is again collecting much-need supplies for a local charity close to our hearts, namely Westminster foodbank.

We would be tremendously grateful if you would support our Christmas charity this year.

On 12 November 2020 figures were released showing that food banks in the Trussell Trust network have given out a record 2,600 food parcels a day to children since the start of the pandemic. Breaking it down further – a child needed support from a food bank every 34 seconds between April and September.  The economic consequences of the pandemic have been devastating, with many new people needing support. At the same time, food banks had to make operational changes like extending opening hours, switching to deliver food and becoming Covid-secure.  Food banks came into the crisis recording their hardest ever year. With your help, we can make a huge difference to our local community and support where help is most needed during this time.

There are two ways of getting involved this year, the first being an online donation or, for those visiting Church House, a convenient in-person drop-off point.

  1. ONLINE DONATIONS – If you cannot visit Church House Westminster, please donate to the JustGiving Page.

Any donations between now and Fri 18th December will be matched. This is an extraordinary opportunity to raise a lot of money over the next two weeks – with every pound going towards ensuring that no child or family needs to go without food or the basics over Christmas and beyond. Simply make your donation and know whatever you donate will help twice as many people this winter.

The closing date for online donations as well as physical items is Friday 18 December, 5PM.

  1. DONATE ESSENTIAL/PHYSICAL ITEMS AT CHURCH HOUSE
