Proactive Sales Executive

 

Salary : £36k

Church House, Westminster is a Grade II Listed Conference Centre located in Central London. We host hundreds of events each year from large multi-room conferences, product launches, gala dinners, awards shows and more!

We are looking for a Proactive Sales Executive to help drive our new business function alongside our Head of Business Development.

Your impact

You will be responsible for selling event space for all types of events – to a predominantly corporate client base under the guidance of our Head of Business Development.

The role incorporates a mix of activities, including proactive sales, reactive sales, & administration activities to support account growth and overall success.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Have excellent knowledge of venue capabilities, capacities, unique selling points, upselling and pricing
  • Follow up on all enquiries within a specific time frame (including accurate data capture)
  • Conduct proactive sales calls and actively research potential new clients and business opportunities
  • Responsible for sales administration
  • To conduct show rounds of the venue; assist with familiarization trips and attend menu tastings
  • Timely preparation of quotations and contracts
  • Attend various trade exhibitions and conduct business development activity
  • Data capture of leads at tradeshows
  • Record and share all client feedback and seek to resolve all client queries
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new key corporates, agents, and platforms within the industry with a focus on securing new business
  • Participate in events meetings with the operations teams

Administration and Organisation

  • Communicate accurate client needs and information to all departments
  • Respond to email enquiries promptly, ensuring inboxes are up to date
  • Research and feedback on industry trends and the current landscape

The ideal candidate:

  • Is approachable, friendly, confident and warm
  • Has excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Has at least two years of previous relevant experience in proactive sales, preferably in a unique venue or 5* hotel
  • Is enthusiastic and creative
  • Is a team player
  • Has experience/understanding of using social media to promote and sell.
  • Is familiar with sales reporting and feedback methods
