One night. 270 guests. The ability to wow, paramount. What do you do?

Well, we can tell you what Europe Congress did – they called Church House Westminster. And we, with our creative, passionate and expert team, we got to work.

The first time it had ever been held in London, Europe Congress’ three-day ‘MCE North & West Europe 2025’ event brought together top destinations and event suppliers from (you guessed it) North and West Europe from the 6th to 8th April.

The second night networking dinner is where we (and our prowess for creating unforgettable shindigs) came in. Seeming only fitting that it should take place in a venue as unique as the city chosen to host it, the dinner was a chance for destinations and suppliers to strengthen new-found partnerships with a night of great food, great music and dance moves that were, frankly, nothing short of exceptional.

So, let us walk you through it (literarily, of course. Although, please, do let us know if you’d like to book an actual walk-around). An historic night deserved nothing less than an historic setting, which is why we began the evening with a sparkling pre-dinner drinks reception in our historic Hoare Memorial Hall. Guests sipped, chatted and mingled in the very room where Prime Minister Winston Churchill announced the sinking of the battleship Bismark during World War Two, and where the first meetings of the United Nations Preparatory Commission and Security Council took place in 1945 (we know, when we said historic, we meant it quite literally).

Speaking of iconic moments, that is all that can be created when you place a gin bar and a branded photobooth in our elegant and atmospheric Bishop Partridge Hall. So, that’s exactly what we did. With the majestic Westminster Abbey forming an exquisite backdrop against the night skyline from the hall’s picturesque stone terrace, it was a combination as classic as, well, gin & tonic. The perfect mix of fun, glamour and something just that little bit magical.

Now, from magic to the main event. And where else but our breathtaking Grade II listed Assembly Hall? Designed by world-renowned architect Sir Herbert Baker in 1939, guests settled down for a sumptuous three-course dinner under the glow of the room’s spectacular 30-foot glass dome – a mesmerising architectural focal point and the only one of its kind amongst London events venues. Expertly curated by our award-winning catering partner, Searcys, guests tucked into a dinner as rich in flavour as the setting was rich in splendour.

Showcasing seasonal, English-inspired dishes designed to impress, this included moreish canapés of ‘coronation chicken with apricot puree and toasted almonds’ and ‘English vegetable garden with celeriac mouse and cèpe crumble’. Among the delectable mains was ‘roast Suffolk chicken with confit leg, pressed potato, heirloom radish and minted spring peas’ and ‘chestnut mushroom and potato roll with trompette and pomegranate dressing, tarragon puree, king oyster mushroom and tenderstem broccoli’. In honour of the upcoming Easter celebrations, dessert was a tribute to the classic and unbeatable, mini eggs, and consisted of ‘chocolate delice with mini chocolate eggs, chocolate textures and orange sorbet’.

Creating the perfect ambiance for the night was our talented in-house production specialists, who used lighting, sound and special effects to turn things from business to pleasure, professional to party, and day to night. This included captivating uplighting, atmospheric haze smoke, state-of-the-art 4K video projection, and a cutting-edge D&B sound system for the incredible band.

Talking of music, we ask you, can Europe ever get together without a song contest? We didn’t think so either, which is why corporate culture experts, SongDivision,

entertained guests with just such a sing-along. The contest ended up creating the Europe Congress anthem (and, if we do say so ourselves, the unofficial Eurovision 2025 winner).

Now, we promise, these testimonials were in no way in exchange for the mouthwatering hot cross buns we also gifted guests for their journeys home but, as the song contest shows, sometimes, it really is better to say it with words. So, here are some from Europe Congress and their delightful guests…

Alan Pallas, Managing Director: “On behalf of the Europe Congress team, I want to sincerely thank you for hosting MCE North & West Europe 2025 in London. So, the next time you have a date, a guestlist and an appetite to wow…you know what to do.
