The 2016 British Citizen Awards Reception was held at Church House Westminster to mark the contributions made on society by unsung heroes.
The presentations for the third British Citizen Awards took place on Thursday January 28 at the Palace of Westminster which was followed by a drinks reception for 150 guests at Church House.
The British Citizen Awards are held bi-annually and recognise the work of individuals within the community. Hosted by acclaimed actor Larry Lamb, Medals of Honour were presented to 33 individuals in several categories including services to community, volunteering and charitable giving, business, industry, healthcare, education and international achievement.
Co-Founder of the awards, Mike Faulkner commented: “The British Citizen Awards has grown considerably since the first event which was held at Church House in January 2015. At every point the venue has been able to facilitate that growth and has always supported the BCA’s in making the event a spectacular and memorable occasion for all our medalists. We will continue to work closely with Church House and look forward to using this venue for post-event drinks reception going forward.”
Our General Manager, Robin Parker, commented: “Since the British Citizen Awards were launched, it has gone from strength to strength. The recipients of the Medals of Honour are very worthy and it is inspiring to hear their stories and experiences. Church House is delighted to host the British Citizen Awards Reception as it celebrates people’s contribution to society and look forward to continuing our partnership.”
