With lockdown easing and it being National Picnic Month this July, our team has been reminiscing about their favourite picnic spots in London.
Planning is paramount for this day out, so once the weather has given the all-clear, don’t forget these picnic essentials:
- A frisbee, racquets or any other activity to play together
- A picnic blanket
- Chilled drinks to keep hydrated including our basil seed and rose essence cooler and watermelon lemonade.
- A hamper filled with nutritious food items that are easy to transport and negates the use of cutlery, such as our flourless chocolate cake, iced nougat, energy bites, courgette and banana loaf and healthy apple chips.
- Sunscreen
Our 6 favourite London parks for a memorable picnic this Summer:
1. Horniman Museum and Gardens
Chosen by our Marketing Manager, Elana Kruger.
“This amazing south-east London gem always offers something new to see and do.”
2. Richmond Park
Chosen by our General Manager, Robin Parker.
“I like Richmond Park for its woodlands, free roaming deer and vast open spaces.”
3. Kew Gardens
Chosen by our Senior Events Coordinator, Sarah Ross.
“It’s always a treat exploring the log trail and tree top walks followed by a picnic by the lake watching the ducks and swans”
4. Alexandra Palace
Chosen by our Business Development Manager, Marina Papadopoulou.
With breath-taking views of London’s skyline and a boating lake, it’s a fantastic day out! If you’re planning on walking, come prepared, as most of the paths are uphill”.
5. Greenwich Park
Chosen by our Head of Client Relations, Sue White.
“Where to start? Wonderful views of Canary Wharf and the City, so much to explore including the Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark and Greenwhich Market and from there you could take a boat to the O2 for the evening!”
6. St James’s Park
Chosen by our Sales & Marketing Assistant, Veronika Kabrun.
“Almost on the doorstep of Church House you’ll find instagram-worthy St. James’s Park. Standing on the Blue Bridge above the lake, you’ll instantly recognise a scene featured in quite a few movies. A royal day out!”
