The VideoTech Innovation Awards was hosted at Church House Westminster on the evening of the 25th of November 2021.
The exclusive red-carpet awards event recognises innovation in video services and technology and is the ultimate celebration for companies and individuals that are revolutionising today’s global video industry.
An audience of TV industry executives attended the awards in-person, whilst it was also streamed live on YouTube, as the industry came together to celebrate the innovations and achievements over this unprecedented period where the TV has become more central to consumer life than ever before.
The shortlist for the awards included the likes of Synamedia, Netgem, Alpha Networks, and NAGRA who have been nominated across categories such as AI and Machine Learning Innovation of the Year, Advanced TV Service of the Year, and the new Super Aggregator Award.
The show was hosted by award-winning comedian, actor, and writer, Suzi Ruffell. Ruffell is widely acclaimed as an emerging stand-up star, she’s been described as “instinctively, exquisitely funny” by the Evening Standard, and as delivering an “excellent hour of stand up” by The Sunday Times.
In a competitive field, companies including Alpha Networks, Proximus, and Amagi won in their respective categories for their innovative developments and achievements.
For the individual awards, ThinkAnalytics chief technology officer Peter Docherty was celebrated for his 30 years of contribution to the industry, while Allente’s Jon Espen Nergård was awarded as Video Technologist of the Year.
